Nine out of ten Roadready students pass on their first attempt. It is not luck — it is the elimination of five specific mistakes that account for nearly every failure we have seen in fifteen years of mock exams.
1. Rolling stops
The single most common fault. Examiners watch your wheels, not your intentions: if the car never fully settles, it is a fail-worthy error. Our drill is simple — say "stop-set-go" out loud at every sign until a complete stop becomes muscle memory.
2. Forgotten blind-spot checks
Mirrors lie about the space beside your rear bumper. Every lane change and every pull-away from the curb needs a visible head turn. Exaggerate it on test day; subtle checks get missed by the examiner.
3. Speed creep in school zones
Test routes love school zones. The limit drops, nerves rise, and drivers drift five over. Read every sign out loud during practice — vocalizing forces your eyes to actually see them.
4. Wide or short turns
Turning into the wrong lane, clipping the curb, swinging wide on lefts. The fix is reference points: we teach a dashboard marker for every turn radius, practiced until it is automatic.
5. Parking panic
Parallel parking fails happen before the maneuver starts — bad setup position. Our three-point setup routine puts the car in the right place first, and then the steering part is easy.
Want all five fixed before your date? Our Driving Test Services include a mock exam on your actual test route, and the Road Test Day Package puts our car and a warm-up lesson under you on exam day.
